Until July 15 international contest Neurotech Cup 2020 is accepting applications of young researchers and engineers ready to present their neurotechnology and AI projects. The best 20 projects will make it to Samara Neuroweek 2020 in October.
The competition covers engineering solutions and research projects in the following areas:
- Intelligent robotic systems and drones.
- Human-machine interfaces.
- Medical and rehabilitation equipment.
- Virtual and augmented reality in medicine.
- Cognitive technologies.
There are two sections at Neurotech Cup: engineering and science. In the first section, which is more practical in nature, groups of contestants present their engineering solutions: technical devices, algorithms, software and hardware systems, etc. Those competing in the science section present the results of research conducted independently or in a team. The submitted study may be either fundamental or applied in nature.
The contest is open to young researchers aged from 18 to 30, as well as school and college students younger than 18 years old, whose results will be scored independently from those of the more experienced participants. Those wishing to take part in the competition are welcome to apply online before July 15. The deadline for submitting a complete project is Sept. 5.
The organizers of the event are the Open Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence of MIPT, BiTronics Lab, and Samara Neuroweek 2020. The contest partners are the Research Center for End-to-End Digital Technologies of Samara State Medical University, the NeuroNet Industry Union, NeuroTechX, Novosibirsk State University, and the Academpark in Novosibirsk.
