STIPEND

Stipend is a monthly payment for students who study at the expense of the Russian Government. International students with Russian Government Scholarship receive the minimum stipend and can apply for additional stipends if they meet requirements.
Payments are changing every semester, data on this page is actual for the 2021-2022 educational year.

State Academic Stipend

Name in Russian: Государственная академическая стипендия (ГАС)

Requirements:
All international students who have Russian Government Scholarship receive this stipend, but the amount depends on their grades.

Payments:

For Bachelor students
Standard payment	5 000 RUB
Only «excellent» grades (from 8 to 10)	6 250 RUB
For Master students
Standard payment	8 000 RUB
Only «excellent» grades (from 8 to 10)	10 000 RUB

Amount is actual for the 2021-2022 educational year.

State PhD Stipend

Name in Russian: Государственная стипендия аспирантам

Requirements:
All international postgraduate students who have Russian Government Scholarship receive this stipend, but the amount depends on their fields of study.

Payments:

Priority specialisations (according to the order of the Ministry of Education)	10 000 RUB
Other specialisations	6 500 RUB

Most of the MIPT specialisations are included on the priority list.

Enhanced Academic Scholarship (PGAS)

Name in Russian: Повышенная государственная академическая стипендия (ПГАС)

Requirements:

General:
PGAS is a stipend for Master students and 4th year Bachelor students who have achievements in one or several categories: Education, Science & Research, Social activities, Art & Culture and Sport.

Education:

1. Only “excellent” marks during last two exam periods
2. Achievements and prizes in science and R&D projects over the last year
3. Winning student academic olympiads and competitions over the last year

Science & Research:

1. Prizes and awards in science and research over the last year
2. Patented and licensed researches and inventions over the last year
3. Winning grants for scientific and research works over the last year
4. Publications in academic journals and newspapers over the last year

Social activities:

1. Organization of social, cultural and other activities and events in the university over the last year
2. Participation in PR campaigns and information support for significant university events over the last year

Art & Culture:

1. Prizes and achievements in cultural and art competitions over the last year
2. Official public presentation of any work of art created by students over the last year
3. Participation in or organization of cultural events over the last year

Sport:

1. Prizes and achievements in sporting events over the last year
2. Participation in sports events over the last year
3. Compliance with GTO (ГТО — Готов к труду и обороне) sport standards

Payments:

For Bachelor students	12 400 RUB
For Master students	15 400 RUB

Application procedure:
You can apply for this stipend at the beginning of the semester. For this you will need to upload your achievements with supporting documents to your Personal Account, the “Достижения” partition and click the “submit” button. The deadlines and more information about application are published in the group “Физтех.Сегодня” every semester.

Stipend of the Moscow Government

Name in Russian: Стипендия Правительства Москвы

Requirements:
This additional stipend is for 2-4 year undergraduate students who meet the requirements:

• ● Only “excellent” and “good” grades during all period of education;
• ● Participation in important public events in Moscow;
• ● Specific selection passed.

Stipend recipients will participate in the project: they shall attend some definite events in Russian in Moscow. It takes time.

Fields of study:

• • 03.03.01 Applied mathematics and physics
• • 01.03.02 Applied mathematics and informatics
• • 10.05.01 Information safety

Payments: 6500 RUB

Application procedure: Application is between July and August usually. The “Физтех.Сегодня” group usually displays announcements and details for the application.

Stipend “Podmoskovye”

Name in Russian: Стипендия “Подмосковье”

Requirements: This stipend is for disabled students and for the students with achievements in education, science and research within the past half of year.
Payments: 5000 RUB for disabled students and 4000 RUB for other students.
Application procedure: Students may apply for this stipend in the offices of their Phystech Schools about a month before new semester. The “Физтех.Сегодня” group usually displays announcements and details for the application.
