Vacations and holidays
Students attend classes 6 days a week with one day off. However, there are many holidays in Russia. On most of them, there are no classes, but it is always better to check with your professor.Russia Public Holidays 2021:
- ● New Year holidays — January 1–8, December 31;
- ● Christmas — January 7;
- ● Defender of the Fatherland Day — February 23;
- ● International Women's Day — March 8;
- ● International Workers' Day — May 1-2;
- ● Victory Day — May 9-10;
- ● Russia Day — June 12-13;
- ● Unity Day — November 4.

Student timetable
MIPT organised student timetables the following way:MIPT classes last for one academic hour each (that is equal to 40 min learning + 5 min break + 40 min of learning).
1 lesson = 2 academic hours = 2*40 minutes

Colour coding: Red = Lectures; Blue = Seminars; Yellow = Practicals. For more information about different types of classes, please go to our Education page.

Timetable for programs in English
Bachelor programs: In the beginning of each semester, the International Department will send you your timetable by email. If you have difficulty, contact Maria Kaplina (kaplina.mu@phystech.edu).
Master programs: In the beginning of each semester, either the International Department or your program coordinator will send you your timetable by email. If you have difficulty, contact Maria Kaplina (kaplina.mu@phystech.edu).
