Residence Hall № 9 is a 17-storey apartment-type MIPT dormitory with three entrances. The “Deviatka” was opened in 2009.
There are four apartments on each floor of the building (except for the first floor), which are of two types – single room and two-room.
The majority of MIPT students (especially first-year students) dream of living in this wonderful dormitory. Who wouldn’t want to have a separate bathroom, toilet, and a kitchen with a stove and a fridge? There are places at the dormitory for students of all faculties, but post-graduate students (budget) receive a preference, next are the senior Master’s program students, and after that, third- and fourth- year students. The number of residents depends on the size of the apartment (from 3 to 5-6). In 2013, the balconies were enclosed.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the ninth dormitory. Breaking this rule will result in reprimands or expulsion from the dormitory.
You will be able to find the commandant of the “Deviatka” on the first floor. Natalia Alexeevna Gorbacheva, the castellan, the passport office and hotel sector, where future students and their parents can stay during the period of enrollment to the university or participation in Olympiads.
