Residence Hall № 8 is a nine-story block-type building. On each floor there are six living sectors, consisting of four rooms – two that accommodate two people and two that accommodate four, with one bathroom for each sector. There are two kitchens on each floor, several balconies, and also several specially designated rooms: a gym room, reading rooms, laundry rooms, a guest room, and meeting rooms.
Upon entering you will be greeted by the security post, which strictly controls who enters the building. It is equipped with video cameras and a button that opens the front door. Consequently, strangers and suspicious visitors will not be able to enter the building prior to verifying their identity.
The first floor is a large foyer with a couch, coffee and chocolate vending machines, a payment terminal, information boards, a mail box, and a table with a journal for requesting maintenance services. From the foyer, two corridors leading to the residential units stretch out into different directions. Also on the first floor are the office of the building commandant, the castellan’s room, a storage room, men’s and women’s shower rooms, and a club.
Rooms at the residence hall are very comfortable asrenovations were recently completed, the furniture was replaced and new windows were installed. The corridors are bright and clean and the floor is tiled. The building has two elevators, which were replaced in 2012.
On the fourth floor there is a buffet, where you can have a delicious meal or order takeout.
There is also Internet access at the dormitory.
