Laboratory of Topological Quantum Phenomena in Superconducting Systems

The laboratory was organized at MIPT in 2014 by order of the Rector (order number 04-6 of 12.02.2014) under the direction of Alexander Golubov, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences and professor at the University of Twente (Netherlands). Golubov won an open competition for grants (4th round) that was conducted as part of a program of the Government of the Russian Federation set up on 9April 2010(№220) - official page in Russian

Alexander Golubov graduated from the Department of Theoretical Physics at the Moscow State Institute of Steels and Alloys under the direction of A.A. Abrikosov in 1983. Then he worked and defended his candidate and doctoral dissertations at the Institute of Solid State Physics at the Russian Academy of Science in Chernogolovka. From 1998 to the present day, Alexander Golubov has been a professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. His scientific interests include the study of condensed matter physics, in particular the transport and high-frequency properties of superconductors, proximity and Josephson effects, quantum processes in electronic and magnetic constructions. Golubov works effectively with experimenters, producing more than 350 publications in peer-reviewed journals with an h (Hirsch) index of 43.

The laboratory is part of the MIPT Interdisciplinary Center for Basic Research
