Laboratory of Experimental Economics
About the laboratory
The laboratory was founded in 2003 as a teaching support laboratory at the Department of Control and Applied Mathematics. Currently, the laboratory is part of the Section of Systems Analysis and Solutions. Amongst the laboratory staff are three candidates of sciences and one postgraduate. A Russian Foundation for Basic Research 2010-2012 grant has been received for “The modelling of the interconnections between the decision making process and the dynamics of the functional state of operators using the methods of experimental economics.”
Field of scientific research:
The effectiveness of market mechanisms and the processes of decision making in market situations are currently being studied in the lab. There is a stabilograph office for the study of group dynamics and the individual specifics of the decision making process.
Analysis of the conceptions of the new market for electrical energy and power using the methods of experimental economics based on laboratory models. The development of highly effective methods for the optimization of the use of communication channels in collective internet access systems.
