Program committee: Imre Bárány; Günter Ziegler; Andrei Raigorodskii; Roman Karasev.
Organizers: Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), German House for Research and Innovation (DWIH) Moscow (www.dwih.ru)
With support of Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), Yandex and Springer Publisher.
Location: Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).
The main goal of these week is to encourage wider networking and stronger partnerships among early career researchers. The conference is intended to bring together some recognized experts in the field of discrete geometry and many young and promising mathematicians. We also expect a large number of undergraduate and graduate students from Moscow attending this event and learning recent advances in the field from the leading experts.
The subject area of the workshop includes:
- arrangements of points, lines, and higher dimensional objects;
- fair partitions of point sets and measures;
- distance graphs, diameter graphs, and bodies of constant width;
- different properties of polytopes and convex bodies;
- topological methods in all above and combinatorics of simplicial or polyhedral complexes;
- other topics usually referred to as Discrete Geometry.
