Краткое описание программы: 
Целью реализации дополнительной общеобразовательной программы «Russian language for beginners (in English)» является овладение системой русского языка для чтения, коммуникации на уровне А1 в условиях русской речевой среды.

Содержание программы: 
Курс состоит из тринадцати уроков:

Introduction

Week 1. Russian phonetic system. Basic concepts of Russian grammar. Personal and possessive pronouns. Adjectives

Lesson 1. The phonetic system of Russian language. The alphabet. The rules of reading. The accent

1.1  Main information about the phonetic system of Russian language. Vowel sounds
1.2  Consonants. "True friends" (Russian and English letters are written and read the same way)
1.3  Consonants. "False friends" (Russian and English letters look the same, but are read differently)
1.4  Consonants. "New friends" (Russian and English letters are read the same, but look different)
1.5  Consonants. "Strangers" Part 1 (Russian and English letters are written and are read differently). The voiced and voiceless consonants.
1.6 The voiced and voiceless consonants
1.7 "Strangers". Part 2 (Russian and English letters are both written and read differently)
1.8 Russian alphabet
1.9 Consonants. The concept of hardness and softness of consonants
1.10 Vowel sounds. Stressed / unstressed vowels

6.1 Basic constructions with accusative case. Endings of nouns in the form of the accusative case 
6.2 Meaning of a direct object. Verbs followed by a noun with the meaning of a direct object 
6.3 Meaning of direction of motion/action. Verbs of motion that require a noun in the accusative case 
6.4 Expression of time in Russian with a noun in the accusative case (days of the week)

Целевая аудитория программы: 
Слушатели, не изучавшие русский язык ранее, и владеющие английским языком на уровне А1.

Задачи программы: 
В задачи курса входят:
1. Ознакомление слушателей с основными особенностями фонетики, лексики и грамматики русского языка
2. Ознакомление слушателей с основными лексико-грамматическими конструкциями русского языка в объёме уровня А1, необходимых и достаточных для коммуникации 
3. Развитие интереса к русскому языку и мотивации к последующему повышению уровня владения русским языком и дальнейшему его изучению
