A group of Russian, European and American scientists have found a warm layer in Venus’ atmosphere, the nature of whichis still unknown. The researchers made the discovery when compiling a temperature map of the upper atmosphere on the planet’s night side based on the data collected by the Venus Express probe.
Students from schools across Russia and the former Soviet republics displayed their projects, including studies of the mechanics of fluids, robots, jet engines and bioengineering research, at a recent science competition in Dolgoprudny.
These theoretical courses will include lectures and seminars where participants will study the basics of gaming techniques, conduct under pressure, first response care, the psychological idiosyncrasies of different social groups, teambuilding of strangers, and emotional self-management.
Directors and top managers of leading Brazilian universities visited the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology last week. The guests were shown scientific research laboratories and given a tour of the campus. They also visited the MIPT history museum and saw presentations of several MIPT departments.
Some 400 people gathered on Saturday, November 15, at their alma mater for the second annual MIPT AlumniConference.
